I have a quick question, it may not be quick, but anyway.
Does anyone feel that the Lord gives you hints about what will happen in your life before it happens, through leadings, visions or dreams or things like that?
I wonder about it since last week I had a dream about doing a job I used to do, and then the evening after the dream I got a phone call to interview for the same sort of work. I admit there was some of my own doing, I did apply for the same sort of work, but I had no knowledge that the employer would call that evening. Was the Lord saying “okay Brad, remember that resume you posted, you’ll get a call on it today, but I’ll show you it through showing you doing the work” or was it just a coincidence.
The work place I dreamed of was the place I used to work and not the place I was interviewed for.
Has anyone experienced something like that? was the Lord giving me a heads up, do you think? _________________ Bradley P.

Friend,
Thee poses a very interesting question for I have often wondered about dreams. I don't believe one should ask for or "cultivate" such things, but I really don't know where this "ability" comes from.
That said, I had a rather complicated dream when I was sixteen years old. I had the exact same dream three times in a period of several weeks. It made absolutely no sense but now, thirty some years later I've found this dream has turned out to be the story of my life. Why I had it, I've no idea.
A couple of years ago I dreamed we were standing in a particular graveyard and by that I knew that it was my wife's family whose burial we were at. A couple weeks later it came true as her mother, who had not been ill, passed away.
I've had many dreams that have come true. When I have them I've even hoped and prayed they wouldn't come true, but then they have, sometimes years later.
I'm afraid I don't know why it is such things happen, but I don't ask for it and I would just as soon it didn't happen. |
