I was doing some research and came across a great idea when you dont have a meeting close why isn't it possible to create one in say a hospital, or county jail, or even prison!! this i believe would not only start a new meeting that could become part of the yearly meeting but it also services a community that might be interested in the quaker way that can not come to meeting!!!!

Absolutely!
A favorite Quaker scripture is Matthew 18:20 "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." _________________ "There is a field out beyond right and wrong. I'll meet you there." --Jellaludin Rumi |

This is a beautiful idea, and one which I hope will be embraced.
Specifically speaking about prison ministry of this sort, what ever happened to the Yoke Fellow movement. I remember them being very active in the late 70s/early 80s, and they had a small building in Richmond, IN, right beside ESR, but now I can find no websites for or about them. _________________ REB Slaughter (USN-RET)(SP V) 614-321-XENU http://www.chefxenu.net
