We will be having company from Ky for the next few days. While I am here I would like to encourage all Friends and friends of Friends to pray for the situation in Irag.
Surely we should be disturbed as we hear of all the poor innocent people who are being killed as a result of being in the middle of this mess. Pray the Americans will come home and that the killing will stop on all sides.
I know it seems impossible that there should be peace there, but none the less I believe as peace loving people we are commanded to pray for peace and try to make it wherever we can.
"Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God." Matt. 5:9 |

Dan,
I too think and pray often for the Middle East. Unfortunately, my reply comes several months after your post and the violence continues in Iraq, Palestine, and Israel.

| I agree that we should pray and also work to try to remove the causes for these wars. Surely the root cause of the growth in terrorism is poverty and hopelessness. The real war against terror is development and opportunity to the poor. I'm British, and I heard today that a British soldier was killed in Basra. We have a friend out there, and are praying that it's not him. |

|

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE January 7, 2007
CONTACT PERSON: RONN RUCKER, Ed.D.
Telephone: 513-941-9188
E-Mail RonnR@aol.com
A Cincinnati man, Ronn Rucker, Ed.D. today launched a national effort to protest the possibility of sending additional troops to Iraq. He has sent the following call to protest to news contacts and hundreds of individuals in the United States. Rucker will gladly respond to any news organization wanting additional information. Rucker has been active in Political and Human Rights efforts for more than 35 years. He was an organizer for the first National March on Washington for Gay Rights.
THIS NATIONAL PROTEST IS CALLED NOT ONE MORE
I am today issuing an appeal for people to speak against the concept of sending more American soldiers to IRAQ. I am astonished that it sounds like President Bush wants to send more troops into battle. If we start a CIRCLE OF PROTEST and contact everyone possible in the House and Senate maybe we can stop this before it starts. I am calling this national protest NOT ONE MORE.
Go to this link where you will get a map of all the states and how to contact members of the House and Senate by Email and or telephone.

PLEASE DO THIS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO WE SEND THEM A HUGE NUMBER OF MESSAGES.
