By the way- very few people... I mean; a lot of people; have had the benefit of canawedding's messages before she graced us with her presence- do a Yahoo! search for the username canawedding and the word Christian. I knew I'd seen it somewhere before- this woman makes a hobby of leaving long, accusatory messages on boards, guest books, and blogs espousing her brand of Christianity (which has, as far as I can see, nothing to do with Friends, or any other members of any church) exhorting people to... well I'm not sure what, but they gosh darn better do it or else they won't be one of the chosen at life's end!

Ooookay. You've had your say, canawedding, and as far as I can tell, you've been having it for a while. Good luck with your next 'message,' but I can tell you if you're pasting your screed all over every place you find, soon enough it becomes nothing more than wallpaper.

Daniel 12:10: "Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined but the wicked shall do wickedly. And none of the wicked shall understand but they that are wise shall understand.”

Ro 1:18-32:
18. For the Wrath of God is revealed from Heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hinder the Truth in unrighteousness
19. because that which is known of God is manifest in them for God manifested it unto them.
20. For the invisible things of Him since the creation of the world are clearly seen, being perceived through the things that are made, even His everlasting Power and Divinity, that they may be without excuse.
21. Because that, knowing God, they glorified Him not as God, neither gave thanks but became vain in their reasonings and their senseless heart was darkened.
22. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools
23. and changed the Glory of the incorruptible God for the likeness of an image of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed beasts and creeping things.
24. Wherefore, God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts unto uncleanness, that their bodies should be dishonored among themselves.
25. For that they exchanged the Truth of God for a lie and worshipped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.
26. For this cause God gave them up unto vile passions. For their women changed the natural use into that which is against nature
27. and likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working unseemliness and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was due.
28. And even as they refused to have God in their knowledge, God gave them up unto a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not fitting,
29. being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness, full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malignity, whisperers,
30. backbiters, hateful to God, insolent, haughty, boastful, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31. without understanding, covenant-breakers, without natural affection, unmerciful,
32. who, knowing the ordinance of God, that they that practise such things are worthy of death, not only do the same but also consent with them that practise them.

It cannot be said any better than that.

Why do people try to participate in a discussion board if all they have the ability to do is cut and paste Bible verses?Does using copied verses as a substitute for ones own thoughts and words somehow make a person more holy?

Yup. It's amazing what a little cut without paste can do. May I suggest you're cutting and pasting without personal discussion might give the same impression of flippancy and incomprehensibility as my little edit job on your* words do?

Bill- dare one ask what divides a message... and a spam? At least Mammon is somewhat clear in the requirements. This is... something different, that is up to you to judge of course, but my word, this is not what I even might disagree this board is about. Smile

*Not the Bible's, as they come under your name without context or conditions.

All true Christians will speak God's Words as the early true Christian Quakers, the real Quakers, also knew very well. If you really understood what they wrote, you would see that they used many Scriptures, even though the Scripture references were missing most of the time. All true Christians will rejoice when they see God's Gospel Truth. Where is your joy? All true Christians are interested in pleasing God, not man. False Christians will not understand what true Christians say or write. Anyone, who does not belong to God, will not understand God's Word.

You people ought to pay attention to what you are being told. The Light is not available forever. Everyone, who hates the Light, will get to spend eternity in the darkness with the worm that does not die. If that is what you want, no one will stop you.

John 12:35-50:
35. Jesus, therefore, said unto them, Yet a little while is the Light among you. Walk while ye have the Light, that darkness overtake you not and he that walketh in the darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
36. While ye have the Light, believe on the Light, that ye may become Sons of Light. These things spake Jesus and He departed and hid Himself from them.
37. But though He had done so many signs before them, yet they believed not on Him,
38. that the Word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? And to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
39. For this cause they could not believe, for that Isaiah said again:
40. He hath blinded their eyes and He hardened their heart lest they should see with their eyes and perceive with their heart and should turn and I should heal them.
41. These things said Isaiah because he saw His Glory and he spake of Him.
42. Nevertheless, even of the rulers, many believed on Him but because of the Pharisees they did not confess it, lest they should be put out of the synagogue.
43. For they loved the glory that is of men more than the Glory that is of God.
44. And Jesus cried and said, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me but on Him that sent me.
45. And he that beholdeth me beholdeth Him that sent me.
46. I am come a Light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me may not abide in the darkness.
47. And if any man hear my sayings and keep them not, I judge him not, for I came not to judge the world but to save the world.
48. He that rejecteth me and receiveth not my sayings, hath One that judgeth him: the Word that I spake, the same shall judge him in the Last Day.
49. For I spake not from myself but the Father that sent me, He hath given me a commandment, what I should say and what I should speak.
50. And I know that His commandment is Life eternal. The things, therefore, which I speak, even as the Father hath said unto me, so I speak.

For those of you, who think boards such as these are just a place to play your silly games and spew your foolish nonsense: You are playing the deadliest game in the universe; it really is no game at all. Taking God's Name in vain and blasphemy against God's Holy Spirit will be punished most severely.

Doggone it, you KEEP missing the fruity import of being "anointed." 1 Chron 16: 22 among others tells ya about it: "Touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm." See? They got "King's X"

OK. I have been away from the Forum for a few days, including one in a hospital that was not expected.

I can see why some are frustrated with canawedding's style, but the snide remarks in response are really not appropriate to this Forum. Now she has got some attacks too. This thread doesn't seem like it's going anywhere, and I am going to lock it.
