There's a 3 part programme running on channel 4 here in the UK, about 30 something women who want to have a baby, but without a father.....some of them are planning adoption, whilst most are willing to use sperm doners. What are your views on this ?

Blessings.

It's kind of late for a TV show to be current on it.

I think if someone wants to have a baby and has the means to support herself and the child that can be a good thing. Just because the biological father may not be involved in the upbringing there might be Grandpas and Uncles and close male figures that can serve as a close role model.

Women nowadays are having children later in life sometimes due to career demands, financial issues, etc... Sadly for some women who want the joy of children in their life they may not be also blessed to have a companion who also wants children.

I think the best is for two loving parents but I would also support a loving and devoted single Mom who decides to have a child solo.

The only thing I don't like is a TV program glorifying it.

Its not really a show about the procedure of IVF, or the latest medical research into it, etc although it does touch on those issues and more.....its more like a documentary into why the women featured have decided this and their journey to fufilling their decision. Although i may not have been explict enough about this in my original post.

Blessings.
