The story of the development of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in the seventeenth century is a fascinating one. Many writers have sought to tell some portion of it. Some very good books on this period are long out of print, but much is currently available. I have not reviewed all of the books on this list, and inclusion in this list should not be taken as a statement about the quality of a book. The order of books also is no indicator of relative quality.
This listing limits itself to books which are readily available for purchase new. Many other books are available in libraries or used. Clicking on the title of any book on this listing will bring up more information on it, and will allow you to purchase it.
